AMERICORP TO PUT MILLIONS TO 'WORK'

"Hey, I've got nothing better to do with my time since I'm unemployed, the economy is so bad there isn't any other jobs out there, and the government isn't going to even try to bring back industry to this country"

President Obama signed a $5.7 Billion-dollar bill to fund the tripling of AmeriCorps to expand the network of national service volunteers in the United States.

Good timing too. With so many people out of work, well, idle hands are the Devil's workshop. By putting people to work, for free, many overlooked and underfunded jobs can be completed, such as cleaning blighted neighborhoods, playgrounds and roadsides. 

Now, the questions are these:

How are these volunteers going to make their house payments, utilities, groceries and such while volunteering?

Why can't the administration put this much effort into allowing businesses to grow in this country, rather than growing another government program?

Who in the hell gets $5.7 billion of my dollars for volunteer work? Let them volunteer their own money, or better yet, work for free like the poor slobs are doing for them.

OBAMA TO SPEAK WITH CREDIT CARD COMPANIES

GOING TO STRAIGHTEN SOME THINGS OUT AROUND HERE

President Obama is scheduled to meet with the represenatives of the Credit Card industry this week to arm-twist them into changing some of their business practices such as predatory lending practices, interest rate changes and hidden fees.

According to the president, too many Americans have fallen prey to the unscrupulous practices of the credit card industry and they must be protected. 

As for the card industry, the practice of raising interest rates on existing balances is the most shameful of their practices, and if the President simply stops that one, he will have gone the distance for many Americans who find themselves with double interest rate increases even after not missing any payments.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi today called for a special investigator to delve into the legal opinion offered to the Bush Administration for justification of incarceration and interrogation of suspected Al Quaida operatives, despite repeated demurrers from President Obama.

Long-suffering liberals on the Far Left have been frustrated for months by the inability for any action to punish the Bush administration for alleged wrongs commited in the last eight years. Whining and wailing to no avail and actively discouraged by Obama's policy of looking forward instead of to the past has shown the lack of interest in such a show trial. 

By setting such a precident, the speaker and the lefties will leave open the door to future purges and pogroms of Democratic administrations.

As always, there has been no thought of cause and effect within the Democratic party.
