Senate Seat Shuffle

SENATOR SPECTER TURNS COAT

SWITCHES PARTY TO GIVE DEMS A BOOST

"Hell, I thought he was a Democrat already"

Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania joined the party of the Majority by switching his allegiance from Republican to Democrats in an attempt to hold onto his Senate seat in the upcoming 2010 elections.

Billing himself as a Centrist Republican, Specter faced a tough battle against Pat Toomey for the seat. Specter was thought to have no chance in the Republican primaries because of his liberal voting record recently concerning his support of the Stimulus bill rushed through Congress this session, which conservatives have decried.

Specter himself states that the Republican party has moved too far right and that his ideology more closely aligns with the Democratic party.

Okay, Mr. Credibility lost me in '63 with the Magic Bullet theory. Good luck to him.
