"Class" Distinction

When push comes to shove, you really find out who your friends are. Roman Polanski, the famed (and infamous) film director, is fighting to avoid extradition to the U.S. to answer to his rape of a 13-year-old years ago. The Swiss (those bastions of privacy and discretion) turned Polanski in in a heartbeat. But it was the gliteratti of Hollywood that came to his rescue, pleading against his extridition, and against having to serve his time in prison, because of a "not rape-rape" as Whoopi Goldberg said. I cannot stand the hypocracy of the lefties when one of their own is on the hot seat. Then, no matter what the crime, it's "nothing, really".
