Okay, let me get this straight. We are in the worst fiscal crisis this country has seen since Hitler spoke at Nuremburg, and the NTSB feels the need not only to scrape pureed bird from the engine of the plane that ditched in the Hudson River, but to carefully package those bits of Polly and send them to a lab to be genetically tested to verify that they were, indeed, Canadian geese that brought the plane down.
MmmmmHmmmm.
And?
What was the purpose?
Is it not enough that the eye-witness testimony of two experienced pilots that they flew through a flock of birds enough information?
Perhaps the few feathers around the cowling wasn't descriptive enough.
But DNA testing? Why?
Maybe pin the caper on the Canadians?
The cost in time, money and manpower seems a little, well, extreme.
One more example that the Government just doesn't get it.
